ATOM Champions Education and Community Development through impactful CSR Initiatives

Yangon, Myanmar, 3 February 2025 – ATOM, Myanmar’s leading 4.5G network provider, continues to demonstrate its dedication to community development through impactful CSR initiatives. As part of its ongoing efforts, ATOM has donated a Water Purification System to ensure access to clean and safe drinking water and has established ICT Labs to promote digital literacy and sustainable education in Southern Shan State on January 31, 2025. Through “ATOM WITH THE HEART” initiative, ATOM focuses on its mission to empower communities and enhance lives, and these 2025 contributions emphasize the pillars of “Advancing Life and Education” and “Digitalisation of Education,” marking a strong start to the year with even more initiatives to follow.

Water Purification System:
ATOM has donated a water purification system, nutritional food, and other facilities worth 22,350,000 MMK to the Zay Yar Thu Kha Orphanage School, one of the communities severely impacted by Cyclone Yagi in 2024, which has faced difficulties in accessing clean drinking water. A donation ceremony was held at the school in d community members. This contribution aims to support the recovery and rebuilding efforts, providing clean and safe drinking water to benefit 210 individuals from the school and surrounding community.

Donation of ICT Labs:
On the same day, ATOM continued its commitment by donating new ICT labs worth 27,500,000 MMK to the Mine Thaut Orphanage School as part of its CSR imitative under the pillar “Digitalisation of Education”. The ICT labs installation featured laptops, printers, and network connectivity, providing students a greater opportunity for the students to engage in hands-on learning and promote digital literacy. This donation benefits 101 students, empowering them with essential skills that enhance both their educational and employment opportunities, contributing to a brighter and more sustainable future.
